![]() Unbeknownst to him, Mumra, in his insidious cunning, had laid a trap along the path Snarf traversed. On this particular day, Snarf, the loyal and endearing companion of the ThunderCats, had embarked on a seemingly routine mission to gather supplies. Mumra, the malevolent sorcerer residing in the foreboding Black Pyramid, had intensified his efforts to plunge Third Earth into eternal darkness. Ancient evils stirred, threatening to disrupt the delicate balance that had been maintained for centuries. The ThunderCats, a noble and valiant group dedicated to preserving peace on Third Earth, had recently encountered ominous disturbances. Cheetara's eyes, sharp and perceptive, scanned the landscape as she traversed the enchanted wilderness. ![]() Her lithe form, adorned with distinctive spots that mirrored the cheetah, blended seamlessly with the vibrant surroundings. In the vibrant and mystical land of Third Earth, where ancient civilizations and magical artifacts coexisted, a tale unfolded that would resonate through the ages-a tale of courage, treachery, and the indomitable spirit of those who called this fantastical realm home.Ĭheetara, the elegant and swift ThunderCat, moved gracefully through the dense foliage of the mystical forest. This was a mistake on her part, but it wasn't stupidity or disloyalty.Cheetara: The Grace of Thundera by Jade Gretz But again, it would be easy for Cheetara to look back on those old mistakes he made, assume the heat of battle's again made him too angry to think straight, and decide she'd better stall until he's calmed down. He's learned from those mistakes, and is more prudent now his order to go down fighting Slithe's new generals came from a recognition there was something off about them, even if he didn't know concretely how unhinged they were. He made mistakes in Old Friends and the Duelist and the Drifter that resulted in serious problems because of his aggression and overconfidence in battle. Lion-O, up to this point, has been infamous for fighting when that wasn't the best tactic for the situation. It made sense for her to assume the worst that would happen to her after her surrender would be getting clamped in irons until Panthro and the Kits came to get them, since before Addicus and Kaynar joined, that was the worst that happened.Īnd about her disobeying a direct order by surrendering. She'd been able to have civil conversations with its members in the first half of this very episode, and some of them had helped the Thundercats earlier in the series. And before they joined, her dealings with the lizard army had been generally reasonable. As far as we know, she hadn't even heard about it. She saw a couple of guys she didn't recognize fighting alongside Slithe, and that's it. We saw Mumm-Ra confess to Slithe even he found their actions repugnant. We saw that Addicus was accused of (and, given what happens when he's freed, likely guilty of) cannibalism, and that Kaynar had to be kept alone because he'd attack any cellmates they gave him. ![]() We saw them slaughter their helpless subdued guards for no reason other than cruelty. ![]() We saw Addicus and Kaynar get "recruited" from prison. There was, in fact, plenty of reason for her to think otherwise. I have to admit, when I first saw Cheetara surrender to the lizard army after they captured Tygra, I also thought, "What a brainfart! Doesn't she know those two nutwagons are going to kill him no matter what she does?" ![]()
